Visual Arts
As children develop a sense of love and appreciation for creative expression as related to visual arts, they will be exposed to the seven elements of art: line, shape, color, texture, value, space, and form. There will be opportunities for participants to visit and tour museums within the state of Alabama.
Parent Cafe
The Parent Cafe empowers parents to advocate for their children, deal with the pressures of raising kids, express themselves creatively, share stories, generate parenting ideas, and learn appropriate and effective strategies for mediating their children’s challenging behaviors. Guest speakers, field trips, and child care are included.
College & Career Preparation
The College & Career Preparation Program is designed to help youth and adults learn how to effectively and efficiently manage their resources, complete major purchases, discover their job interests, develop skills, and prepare for college.
Restoration Social Services
The Restoration Social Services Program is designed to build upon the strengths of families and assist them in meeting their needs and goals through direct and indirect services.
ELECT Performing Arts
CREATIVE DANCE I & II Familiarizes students with several genres of dance including ballet, jazz, spiritual, improvisation, African, Irish, and Modern. Students learn basic skills from each style and improve general flexibility and physical fitness. Leap for the Stars Tutoring
IAMBK offers the Leap for the Stars Literacy and Academic Tutoring Program is designed to assist young children with math, reading, and science skills with hands on activities and exploration that will motivate them to make better grades in school.
