Family Reading Night
Caregivers and children are invited to share the love of reading and to learn strategies that will help build reading fluency and comprehension; the session will be facilitated by Auburn Public Library staff on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 at the Frank Brown Recreation Center.
Parent Cafes
Discussion groups are held monthly among parents at each location (Auburn, Tuskegee); Parents and guest speakers share resources and information that help strengthen families and children, in a relaxing and supportive atmosphere
3rd Annual IAMBK Gala – Make Every Youth Count
The 3rd Annual IAMBK Gala was a big hit! I Am My Brother’s Keeper shared our nurtured talents in the form of a Rhythm Band performance, two Creative Dance performances, and a performed a skit titled ‘No More Bullying!’ The kids spent the entire semester at the After-School Programs. IAMBK Read-A-Thon
The IAMBK Read-A-Thon is a component to our IAMBK Fundraising Campaign: Make Every Youth Count. The Read-A-Thon runs January 14th – January 31st. We believe that reading is extremely important in the developlment of our youth
IAMBK Community Day
This September, I Am My Brother’s Keeper hosted our first Annual IAMBK Community Day Tuskegee Square! IAMBK Community Day is a day where we as a community come together to celebrate and appreciate one another as a community, with an emphasis on the youth that live in Macon County, Alabama.
